Make a New Year’s Resolution to get to know our local authors!

Local Author’s Book Club

It is hard to escape the realization that this area is overflowing with writing talent. In an effort to not only recognize this wonderful groundswell, but also to promote and support the people who are making it happen, we are launching a Local Author’s Book Club! Each month we will read a book by a local author (primarily narratives) and invite the author to the discussion - hopefully for some autographs, too!

Our first book will be The Night Train by Clyde Edgerton (clydeedgerton.com). First meeting will be Wed. January 18th, 7 PM

How can I spend my OBOFS Gift Certificate?

Did you know? You can spend your gift certificates to OBOFS not just on books but also in the Literary JukeBox, The Vend-A-Quote, on pins, OBOFS T- shirts (Both short sleeve and long) and Brodart protective covers! We are sorry, but the gift certificates are non-transferable and can not be used at Sugar On Front St. It is in fact a separate business owned by Samantha Smith. But that is still 6 ways to enjoy your gift!
